If you have NOT read the Harry Potter books, this movie will leave you feeling confused. If you have read the books, DH Part 1 is going to be the best of the series in many ways. It is dark, and has a surreal feel to be so far from Hogwarts. The scenes of torture and fighting are so real it is disturbing. Again, this film will completely bamboozle anyone who hasn't read the books - even the other movies don't give you all the information you need to understand this one. But for all of us who love the books, it is amazing.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
