This is the movie that all future sci-fi / fantasy / adventure movies will be judged by. The cinematic scope of Avatar is best appreciated in 3D IMAX... the depth of field is just incredible and the 3D is done with enough restraint to keep it from being excessive or distracting.

This is the most visually stunning movie I have ever seen... and I've seen quite a few in my 50+ years. The life forms in the alien world of Pandora are completely believable and there is a plethora of them... animals, plants, insects, an entire ecosystem that is amazingly real and totally alien. The viewer is instantly transfixed and mystified and I didn't hear a peep in the audience throughout the entire show... it's like we were all stunned by the wonders that kept unfolding. I rarely feel inclined to see a movie twice in the theater but after I got home from seeing it I immediately went online and purchased tickets to see it tomorrow in 3D IMAX. Avatar is pure movie magic at its finest and most imaginative... a must see!
