Opera without the binoculars

Il Trovatore was great. My second MetHD performance.Hvorostovsky as the Count and Zajick as the gypsy were spell-bounding. Seeing the cast backstage and all the closeups were great. I did wonder what the corpse on the cross and other gruesome set details meant. The quick set changes were great, kept the pace. I hope more theaters offer this experience. I got there 30 minutes early and the theater was packed-only seats left were in the first 3 rows..
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Don't Miss the Next One!

This was a wonderful and magical evening. The sound effects men were as fun to watch as listen to. Sarah Watkins sang and fiddled with such emotion. I've been an APHC fan since 1980 and loved every minute. I'll be watching for the next show.
