This was a pleasing enough story - It was not a really wonderful movie, but the animation was excellent, and the story was OK. We thought it was mercifully short. It could not have sustained the audience another half hour. But it was cute and sometimes clever and fun to watch.
Lame movie. The high point was the hilariously fake way the lion ripped the pretend arms off someone who was supposedly being mauled. This movie was really, really short on plot but was short on terror too. Mainly rather silly. I spent most of the time hoping the female protagonist (annoying, rabbit-y facial quivering and bug eyes seemed to be her spectrum of expression) and the "sympathy" kid with the big ears would get knocked off. Suicide or homicide by the creepy old lady. Either one would have improved the eventual drag of the plotless story. They were both irritating enough to have made you snicker if they bought the farm. But then the whole thing made minimal sense. Good luck.
