Read the book first!

I loved Liz Gilbert's book, & looked forward to the movie. I also love Julia Roberts, so how could this miss? The cinematography, locations & acting were perfect, but the story in the movie had major gaps in it that were fully explained in the book. In the movie, it looked like she went from relationship to relationship, without explaining the problems with her marriage, her addictive relationship with the actor, & why she was attracted to Felipe. So much of the book was inside of her head. The movie did not explain that the house in Bali was a bargain, why she helped buy the house for the medicine woman, or why she was in search of herself. I loved the movie; but my husband who did not read the book was confused. It was a long movie that did not explain enough, but I loved it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
