Sorry, Bart, it *is* a comedy, not a romance with violence and comedy. It was supposed to be light, happy, funny. The lighting needs to be amped up: it's *daytime* for most of this or it doesn't make sense. He stole the pasta idea from Cenerentola (nothing original in any of his productions; you can usually figure out where he steals stuff from easily enough). Too much ego and misguided interpretation, not enough originality. And get rid of the hat.
But all the performances were excellent!
Pros great actors, excellent singing
