I heard the author speak of the book on the Oprah Show a while back and immediately ordered the book for a friend going through a divorce at the time.
The even though the movie did not express what the character was learning about herself in each place, she befriend wonderful people and was able to reconnect with her self. It also showed how simple things slow down our life. Reflection opens up our life and awareness increases our life. Other than Italy, the countries visited have a lot struggles with just daily lives. I am still working there significance out for places visited. I could see a Eat Pray Love workshops.
