Overcoming Adversity

Before viewing, I read a lttle about "Precious." Nothing I read prepared me for the amazing yet shocking experience of this movie.
The direction was stellar. The scene where Precious attempts to make herself into some ideal woman left me wondering about how we see ourselves.
Great acting, casting, and cinematography.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Beautiful Duet in Soloist

Two amazing actors collaborate to give us an amazing story of friendship and caring. The superior Mr. Lopez (Mr. Downey), grows as he helps Nathaniel Ayers grow as a musician and a man.
Powerful emotional moments flow through the movie. In one instance the audience went from laughter to near shock is less than 15 seconds.
A must see. Life can be hard, but true friends are there no matter what comes.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
