This is a beautiful movie -- hard to make of a book that was so moving. Frankly, I thought Julia was a bit long in the tooth for this part -- would have liked to see a younger-looking, not quite so gaunt actress instead. The scenery was beautiful, and the rest of the actors perfect. Could have done without so many flashbacks and dream sequences (for example, Liz dancing with her ex) -- they added nothing, were boring and drawn out. Overall, though, I recommend this as a good summer escape.
