Overall this movie was a suspensful journey away from your typical "out of the box" American movie....it has excitement, dark elements, love, and triumph! Overall- loved the background music and editing- must be seen in a large theatre to capture the effect. I felt like I was actually in India!! I recently saw Gran Torino as well and both movies are on an even playing field- Slumdog and Grand Torino - A Ratings.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
