Like Cleopatra...

As you know, Jolie can act, which is an enormous help to the whole show. There are one or two moments where she must display a complex of emotions in her expression alone, giving an appropriate amount of depth to this action thriller. I like that it is also a story about the acting, as Jolie, the actress, plays the role of a superspy who, Cleopatra-like, continuously plays roles to get where she's going.
The reasonably complex story line unsuspends my belief a couple of times. Maybe the movie runs short for what it was trying to achieve in terms of overall plot. But I enjoyed the action sequences, which were sometimes breathtaking, and always enjoyable. Also, the ending leaves the door open for a sequel with, hopefully, Jolie in the lead role.
If you like thriller movies, you will have a good time. This is not literary enlightenment, but a complement to a wonderful night on the town.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
