Forget what you think from the trailer. Forget how completely stupid the premise sounds. If you're a dad or grandpa or uncle, take the boy and go. You will both have a great time. It's Rocky as a robot but it sucks you in and the damn thing works. Cast is great, across the board. Action is terrific. And yes, it will actually tug at your heart a bit. Well done, and a well deserved hit.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
