This is the "Feel Good Movie of the Year." If you are a wolf. If you happen to be a human being, especially a human being who believes there is hope left in the world, this is one of the worst movies ever made. If you have been feeling suicidal, don't see this movie, because it might just push you over the edge. It was truly a waste of money that I could have spent better elsewhere. As far as plot, I didn't see anything unique in this movie that would make it stand out from the crowd.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This movie just shows that you can still make a good movie without throwing in a bunch of violence and unnecessary profanities. "Utopia" probably won't win any awards, due to the bias of the media against all things that have any ties to Christianity, but it is still a very good movie. The only reason I didn't give it 5 Stars is that there were one or two scenes that were rather predictable. And a couple of things slipped through editing (e.g., the golf ball in Luke's painting has a different lie than the real ball). Other than that, though, excellent movie!!
This was one of the most boring movies I have ever seen. Most movies with a narrator will have some narration, then show a lot of action. This turkey is strict narration throughout. There were some mildly humorous parts, but the scene shown in all the clips--the goat falling over dead--was the only really funny part. It was a true waste of time and money, unfortunately, because we had really looked forward to seeing this.
This movie was riveting from start to finish. Denzel Washington was great as an insecure subway employee, and John Travolta did a wonderful job portraying the psychotic hostage taker. The use of the "f" word was understandable for Travolta's character, but it was totally unnecessary for most of the other characters. Hey, Hollywood, believe it or not, the general public doesn't use the "f" word in every other sentence. Other than that, though, the movie was very good.
