Disney Does it again!

I took my 3 1/2 year old daughter to see this movie and it did not disappoint! Although it was geared towards kids a little older it was still appropriate. I feel that the initial meeting betwen Rapunzel and Flynn could have been a little less violent (slapstick of course)-but I can look past it. I would rate the story, characters and scenery above average, but the songs-while great-are only adequate and by no means memorable compared to past Disney classics (Littlle Mermaid, Lion King). Actor Zac Levi (Flynn) has described this movie as resembling "Romancing the Stone", which is great analogy. Mandy Moore was perfectly cast as Rapunzel and gives her character just the right blend of "girl next door/rebellious teenager/angst' portrayed in good comedic fashion. For 6-10 year old boys and girls this movie has the right blend of comedy and action. The two non-speaking animals steal the show with their physical comedy and facial expresssions. All this being said, I still give it 5 stars and highly recommend it.
