After reading the books - not once, but twice! - I wasn't sure how I would like the movie adaptation. After dragging my 15 year old son to the midnight premiere, I have to say that I absolutely loved seeing the characters I've become so fond of on the big screen. It was completely enjoyable, and despite missing the full sequence of events of Katniss and Peeta in the cave (where was the rain?!), I can't wait to go and watch it again!! A definite must see - with one word of warning. This is not 'art house' fare. This movie is truly just for entertainment value. The drama is there, but if you're a big fan of Woody Allen movies this likely isn't the movie for you, but 'May the Odds be Ever in Your Favor'!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
