Took my 7 & 9 year old granddaughters and they loved it. A little slow at times in the beginning and I could see & hear the younger ones in the audience starting to get figgity but it did pick up. This will definitiy become one of the classics.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Not what I expected at all. Very dark, dreary and depressing. The beginning was actually disturbing when Max was chasing the dog like a wild man throughout the house.
Much too dark and dreary, almost scary for some of the younger kids. The 5 year old was somewhat bored at times. No, I'm afraid I wouldn't recommend this one. That's what I get for reading the critic's review.
