I went into this movie thinking...Okay, I am ready to see a great movie, because I have been disappointed countless times lately. Well, I tried to love it, but I ended up hating it. It jumped back and forth in time, you never knew if the dude was dreaming, and there was very little humor in the film. The special effects were awesome, but the substance was seriously lacking. I am 37 and my teenage son is 16, and neither one of us thought it was what it was cracked up to be. I will never rent this movie again. My son said he would have to see it 5 more times to really understand it, but that he loathed it to the point that he would not waste his money or time to watch it again. Maybe I am too simple or not intelligent enough to appreciate a movie like this. I felt like an idiot because I honestly walked out thinking "what the hell was that all about?".
No, I do not recommend this movie.
