Excellent adaptation of the graphic novels

I was lucky to have watched a free screening the night before the film was released and recently watched it again with a friend. After seeing the preview trailers, I thought it looked funny and was a little interested.
My gamer geek boyfriend read the first 5 graphic novels after finding a little more about it. He seemed to really enjoy them. After we got the entire set of the graphic novels, I read through them all and really enjoyed the writing and humor of the creator of the series.
Going into the screening with an idea of the story usually puts a lot of high expectations on a film. Though the movie couldn't put in all of the stories and jokes from the 6 graphic novels, it did an excellent job of condensing everything and even making it work.
The acting is believable and funny, the fight scenes are exciting and cool looking, and even the story made sense. This is a movie for music fans and video game nerds alike, especially considering that's who the story focuses on.
Box office numbers don't tell you how good a movie really is, so I recommend everyone see this movie!
