On the one hand, the story is simple. And yet, given the context, it makes you think, examine and explore your own precepts and biases about relationships. And the acting is so superb on all levels, and by the entire cast, that it is a total joy to watch - even the painful parts. Everyone deserves an Academy Award!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
