With more time to sort through character evolution and plot development, Mr. Yates has produced the best Potter of the series. It makes one wonder how much better each of the films could have been given the opportunity to be split in two. There is a moment in the film, underscored by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, in which Harry and Hermione share a tender dance in light of all the darkness encroaching around them. It is, quite simply, beautiful, as is most of this haunting and harrowing feature. Each of the three central actors have so improved since the last film, we can no longer doubt their future careers. Rupert Grint is particularly good and is even given a monologue halfway through the film. Also to be commended is Alexander Desplat, the film's composer, who makes this Potter sound the best as well.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Christopher Nolan has crafted a blockbuster so cerebral, many viewers may tune out early. For those who decide to stay, the rewards keep coming, frame after frame, in the forms of comedy, philosophy, and, yes, kick-ass special effects. See this film. If you enjoy it, you will be dreaming about it for days. (Your subconscious may need a second viewing to be quelled.) If you do not enjoy Inception, see A-Team again, but never speak to me about it.
