Terrible experience, we walked out early in the second act. The staff at the theater wasn't paying attention and started the show without turning the house lights down. The screen was so dark it looked like the entire production was filmed at night. The sound was unlistenable. Too loud, and screechy. Beautiful voices grated, horns & strings were painful, bass instruments inaudible. Great acting and production values (as far as we could see) but what is opera if you can't bear to listen? A disaster.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
