Wasn't sure what to expect when purchasing my ticket, but was pleasantly surprised. This move will take you back to your high school days in the 80's, complete with that feel good 80's music and the struggle to make friends in your first freshman year. The "want" and need to belong, to not be alone. It connects with the complex reality of suppressed memories which, when we finnally learn what really happened, will tie your stomach in knots. It touches on the struggle of being gay (and known for being gay) in an american high school in the 80's. If you like John Hughes movies, you will love this one. See it before it leaves the theatre.
Pros great story

A pleasant surprise

Once in a while I like to go to the movies and pick a "wild card". You know, a move you've heard nothing about and just want to explore the unknown. Well that was the case with this move for me. And what a pleasant surprise! A crazy high school teenager drama/thriller/adventure all wrapped in one nice package, complete with great special effects and a story that lives and breathes the difficulties of the adolesent male desire to bed a beautiful girl and be liked by everyone else. Of course there is the dark side too...the blossom of teenage sadistic prone desires that prove to be the ultimate undoing, set in the background of an abusive looser father. Great flick...a must see for any teenager in love (and not) and anyone who enjoys movies that play on the development of good vs. evil.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The 'Wars' are forever!

The Phantom Menace is definately not the best of the star wars series , but you have to love the 3D touch. Star Wars is forever folks...don't miss this, or the next 5 which Lucas Films has already scheduled for release through 2017 (1 every year) in digital 3D. I can't wait to see the original episodes 4, 5 and 6 in 3D, with all the original cast and characters back in all their glory! Don't miss out on the 3D effects...they are awsome!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Okay...so there were some look away moments in this comedy flick, but you will laugh your guts out. The movie has an overall good message to send and Owen Wilson does an outstanding job.

Too slow....too long....

I like Russell Crowe movies, but this one did not do him justice. The movie got an unnecessarily slow start and moved at a snails pace throughout. Acting was great as would be expected from the caliber of cast members; but when you see folks in the theater squirming, turning and wiggling in their seats at times (myself included), you know something was just not flowing right with this movie. Wait for the DVD.

Wow What a Ride!!

Crazy flying Ninja's; greasy, rowdy cowboys; a crazy 8 midget and carnival clowns; a tiny baby AND a seriously deadly hero all combine to make "The Warrior's Way" a very unusual but very entertaining flick. It's like the next installment of "Kill Bill" with all the blood and gore to go along with it. It's a story of revenge, honor, love and the life of some men who are predestined to be good at only one thing...with little room for anything else.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The little train that could!

Not a big fan of Chris Pine, but matched up with Mr. Washington, the two make it happen. I do have to agree with some of the other observations in some of the other reviews...the train speed did not seem to play into what was supposed to really be happening (i.e. 70 mph looked more like 10 mph in some scenes). But the camera work helped hide allot of this, so it was definitely still a thrill ride. Great movie!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Expected more...

...I know I'm not going to be much help here, but this animated feature was lacking in something. Couldn't really "grab" onto any of the characters. I can't put my finger on it, but it just didn't have anything that really stood out to make it something to remember. I was expecting more with the all star studded voice over cast. Word of note to Paramount: It takes more than famous names to make a successful animated feature. Take lessons from Disney or Warner Bros.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Not for the squeamish

Movies developed around true stories are intriguing, but they can also be harrowing. This moving is both intriguing and harrowing. Not really into the bloody, bone crushing, cutting and tearing into human flesh "scene" as some might be, I found myself turning my head away only to imagine in my minds eye what what happening. This move is not for the squeamish or the young. Word to the wise: always let someone know where you'll be and what you'll be doing! Well worth the money and time!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
