Good movie, could have been great

Had I not read all the Twilight Saga books, I would have said this is an awesome movie, and worth watching again and again. And it is! However, it could have been better had they not deviated from the book so much. They took away Edward's strength and self-control and gave it to Bella. They have Edward losing his temper, which doesn't happen. And getting into trouble in the end and needing to be rescued again by Bella (again, which didn't happen in the book). And Bella running to Jacob after he gets hurt, when in reality her mind had shut down and she fainted (again, her weakness that they took away). They also made much more of the struggle of Edward vs Jacob, which isn't there as much in the book, because she's always adamant with "I know who I can't live without". They also showed the wolves and Cullens fighting together in the field, instead of in two separate locations. I think they also lost an opportunity to use some perfect one liners from the book, such as Jasper's comment on Alice after the fight training.
I will watch the movie again, and buy it for my collection. It was well done, awesome graphics, etc. I just wish they had stuck closer to the true storyline.
