Great family moive, Better than I expected.

The basic premises of the movie is tried and probably worn out. But it is done very well. The CGI in the movie is very hard to tell. The father, son story is also done well. This is one of the rare movies where you could see it happening in real life. I also like the ghost in the machine story thread as well. I am willing to forgive the movie makers for breaking their own physics rules in the last fight. (go watch it and then we can fight about it if you want.)
Yes, I recommend this movie.
