Very disappointing--Hyped as comedy-drama though it is anything but. Ann Hathaway does a very good job of playing against her image. Otherwise I think that Demme loaded the dice in too many ways--the portrayal, the devastating background story, the complete range of nationalities, creeds and religions, the camera view, etc. Having said all that, it is not a bad movie but be ready for "heavy".
Yes, I recommend this movie.
