This one has been by far the best out of the three. My husband enjoyed it, too. Twilight-y enough to be girl friendly, and actiony enough to be boy-friend!

If you're eight...

I feel like this was probably a pretty epic movie for all the younger kids in the theatre. If you're past that age at which you're old enough to recognize and be bothered by terrible acting, I don't recommend it.
Overall, it's not a movie I'd go pick up at a Redbox later. My neices and nephews would love it, but personally, I wouldn't say it's worth a dollar and two more hours of my life.
