This movie was a lot better than we expected. It was funny, visually entertaining and it kept our attention. James Franco was outstanding and Mila Kuniswas also great. I loved the way that it was written. It didn't copy the classic Wizard of Oz movie, but we could relate. Really glad it didn't focus on Dorothy and those Ruby Slippers. I noticed children laughing out loud throughout the movie. The Monkey and the "Sourpuss" were hilarious and the Porcelin doll was really cute. We hope that there's a sequel coming soon.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, really funny

Agree with all the other rave reviews. This movie was the best of them all. The characters were very interesting. The recruitment of the other vampires was great. The fight scenes were intense and unpredictable and had us on the edge of our seats! Aro's character was "off the chain!" Good to see Bella as strong and confident. Only wish there was even more action with the other vampires. That guy that controlled the elements was awesome - a very convicing performance where you certainly wanted him on your side. Excellent twist at the end! Too bad this saga has to end. Kudos to the Directors and Stephanie! Well done.

Loved this movie! Not only did it remind me of the old Martial Arts films, it was even better. Better special effects. Better dialogue, the acting was superb! How can you go wrong with Lucy Liu and Academy Award winner Russell Crowe, who were both fantastic? And the story line (or plot) was consistent and made sense to the end. Byron Mann was awesome! He was flamboyant, yet sinister!
No voice-overs and no subtitles - Yes! I am hoping that a PG-13 version comes to DVD, so that my boys can see this - they would love it. I want to see this movie again!

I enjoyed this movie a lot. I was better than the previous Spiderman movies (1--3) mainly because of the two main actors who kept it interesting. The humor and chemistry between Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone was convincing and believable. Denis Leary did a great job. The special effects were very good, but didn't "blow me away" a much as the Avengers movie did. Overall, a must see!

I agree with the other reviews. This was not a good movie. Where was the story line? It did not make sense, the acting was bad and even the special effects seemed dated. I'm glad this movie was not part of the Alien series, because I would have been embarassed. Can't believe that the Alien movie (made over 30 years ago) was better than this in all respects. I watched the audience reaction and there was none! We kept waiting for something to awesome to happen, but it didn't. There are better alien movies on TV. The ending was awful. Sorry, but this was a disappointment.

Outstanding! Great story line, great action and special effects. The actors did a fantastic job of portraying the characters. It was good to see that each hero was given their share of the spotlight and we were so glad to see that the characters were tough and not wimps. What really surprised us was the great writing and humor throughout the movie. The audience was laughing out loud and reacting to every action scene. We plan on seeing this again soon. Definitely hope that the sequel is just as good or surpasses this movie.

More action, please!

Good movie overall, but didn't live up to all the hype. I didn't read the books and expected more action. For example, we expected some awesome bow&arrow action from the girl, but had to settle for the "big scene" of her shooting apples from a bag?! And the movie alluded to the boy's great strength, but when did he use it?! Most of the contestants were killed off as soon as the games started. That would have been OK, if we had seen the main characters really doing something awesome, but they didn't. Good story line and great cinematography. Overall good movie, but we didn't see what all the fuss is about. Guess we'll have to read the books now.

Great Movie!

This was really done well. Lots of great visuals, suspense, great scenery, etc. I love it when you can follow the storyline in the movie and it stays on course throughout. We think this was the best so far! Cannot wait to see the last installment. Well Done.

Suprisingly Good!

I really enjoyed this movie. I didn't know what to expect, but it had a storyline that was easy to follw and a decent plot. The action and suspense kept my attention. Taylor Lautner is a good actor and delivered a solid performance. Expect great things from this young man! The chemistry with the female lead and Taylor was great. What a treat to see Sigourney Weaver! She was very convincing in her brief appearances. The movie had a decent ending also. Good Job!
