Everything I Hoped For

As the title implies, the movie definitely lived up to the book. It had just the right amount of intensity and grit, and was a lot darker and mature, as was the book. The lightheartedness added to the movie by the Weasley twins and at points Harry and Ron was just enough to allow for valleys and peaks, making sure the movie was not monotonous. The last scene was a great place to end the movie and it defintiely left me wanting more. If possible, I would have sat through both parts back-to-back just to finish it out. I can't wait for Part 2!

I would recommend this movie to someone who has seen the series; it was a great way to end it and it wrapped up everything nicely. However, this was the goriest movie I have seen in quite some time. I definitely do not have a weak stomach but there were some parts I just couldn't watch, and of course the 3D just made the goriness worse.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
