This film was well worth the 12 year wait from Director James Cameron. Visually stunning (cliched I know), the 3D effects were awesome, and the world of Pandora is absolutely enchanting. This tale is an allegory to the "Indian" wars in the US and todays war in Iraq. It's "How the West Was Lost". The storyline was totally engaging and the actors were top notch. I especially enjoyed Sigourney Weaver and Sam Worthington and Stephen Lang as the villain. It was like seeing Star Wars for the first time. I loved it and plan to see it again in IMAX 3D.
I saw this in IMAX. I was not impressed. Special Effects were good, not great. Keanu gave a leaden perforformance as Klaatu, there was more emotion from GORT. I liked Jennifer Connelly and Kathy Bates (when has this woman ever done a bad acting job), but that wasn't enough to save this remake. I prefer the original in all it's 50's glory.
