I love M. Knight Shyamalan movies. You get scared and there is always a twist. This movie however, I wasn't scared I was disturbed by the deaths and there was never that signature twist. From beginning to end you wait for something more that is never delivered. For all the hype about this being his first rated R moved, I expected to be scared out of my wits but instead spent most of the movie looking away from the disturbing images of way he killed off characters. I am trying not to ruin this for those that still go see it by giving anything away. Lets just say the plot is weak, the relationship of the main characters is lacking and it's not up to par with his other movies. If you want to see it, your're going to see it, I would just suggest wait for it to come out on video. We spent 20.00 on tickets, 20.00 on dinner out, 15.00 on concessions and 30.00 on the sitter. All I can think is it wasn't worth it. The 3.00 rental fee sounds more appropriate.
It was a great movie. Something happenening almost every moment and goes along well with the true Indiana Jones feel from the other films. A couple spots to cover small kids eyes but all in all great movie. Not like all the hollywood garbage coming out. No swearing that I remember. Just Indiana Jones as we knew and loved him.
