This movie was hilarious. Best comic book type movie that I have seen. Forget Spider Man, forget Ironman (well maybe not Ironman, but see this first). I wouldn't want to bring a preteen to this movie, or you'll be explaining more than you want to
This was a pretty good post-apocolypse story, with Denzel Washington fighting his way through the evil remnants of civilization. The religion came across as a little heavy to me, with the general idea that with out a bible people are doomed. But good and bad are still generally good and bad.
A decent concept, but the story line was a bit of a stretch. If these aliens were so advanced, why were they stcuk here in the first place. Decent characters, average acting. And a definite set up for "District 10".
I thought the Da Vinci Code was alright, but a bit boring. This film was fast paced and well thought out (except for the final plot twist which doesn't stand up to logic). Very entertaining, good performances.
Ledger's performance definately makes this movie as good as it is. Christian Bale on the other hand is clearly out-shone - come on now just tuck your chin a talk with a raspy voice/
This was perhaps the best animation I have seen. The detail was pretty impressive, even down to the dust stireed up by WALLE's tracks.
However, I did find the story a little dissapointing. To say that many humans are lazy might be true. But to claim that human kind is so lazy that we would would allow ourselves to destroy the Earth and become totally dependant on machines to sustain our pointless lives is a little offensive. Bottom line: Are we suggesting to our childern that only machines are capable of good and bad, but ALL humans are fat, lazy and stupid.
