Not your typical super hero movie

Well done and well written. What makes this a great movie is how well it is written. It takes the first few years of the Iron Man comics and condenses it into this movie. It does so keeping the Iron Man character in context, even though the time frame is current rather than forty + years ago. The acting by Downey, Paltrow and Bridges is excellant and they bring their characters to life without the campyness of typical superhero movies. Direction is great and the special effects are second to none. I enjoyed this movie as much as the original Michael Keaton/Jack Nicholson Batman. Enjoyable to watch as Spiderman without the tedious teenage angst. Iron Man interpeted by Robert Downy is a believable flawed man that is thrown into a life changing event that shatters his view of his life and world. Not only is he a changed man, but he is determined to change the world without regard to personal cost. This movie will be added to my collection and be viewed again and again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
