Insipid, verbose and I don't need my 4 year old worrying about endangered species. This was not cute, not funny and not entertaining for any age. More than a waste of money it was a waste of time.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

BAD it shows the worst of humanity

There is so little that is fun or entertaining in this movie that it is insulting. The chipmunks are cute but spend the movie being abused by humans. Why does anyone making a "Childrens movie" spend an hour plus showing the worst bullies of humanity. Forget kinder & gentler- if you want to teach your children to be cruel and abusive use this as a training session. Oh and there is very little if any "Chipmunk" music, although I do like Beyonce her 5 minutes was the only piece any child should watch. I hope my Godson is not scarred for life by the precious time we wasted! It was his first movie. Another triumph for how Americans should NOT be perceived around the world! I do not know what movie those other people were watching.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
