If this were the last of the series, it would be a great way for the Twilight series to go out. Too bad the powers that be didn't choose to end the series with a wrap up at the end of Eclipse because I can only imagine - having read all the books - that the next will be a disappointment in comparison to this movie. Eclipse [the movie] did a nice job of presenting the main themes of Eclipse [the book] - the love triangle between Bella, Edward, & Jacob and the alliance between the Cullen vampires & the Quilite wolves. Unfortunately, not enough information was given to understand the politics concerning the Volturi's presence in the movie. It would seem completely random to the fan who hasn't read the books. All that said, Eclipse was a great ride and much of the fun was seeing it in a packed theater filled with serious Twilight fans. Everyone in the theater cheered for their favorite characters & scenes. Some of the best lines were given to Jacob's character. In particular, in the scene when Edward realizes that he'll have to rely on Jacob's unnatural body heat to keep Bella alive during a freak snowstorm, Jacob replies, "Let's face it, I'm hotter than you." The crowd screamed. ;-)
