read the book first to understand what's going on

The acting is great, the filming is amazing and I always love how they choose to depict things like apparating and the pensieve. However, this film would have been completely confusing if you hadn't read the book.
I hated how so many important things got left out, or alluded to but then ignored, or added for no apparent reason. Why did Tonks start to tell about her pregnancy but then it wasn't brought up again? Why did the group show up at the burrows and not at Tonk's parent's place? Why did they show Mad Eye's eye on Umbridge's door, but never once explain that his body was searched for but never found?????
The dance scene between Harry and Hermione was silly; we all know that there is absolutely nothing romantic between them and yet there seemed to be some allusion to a potential kiss.
I could go on and on, but the editing of this film made it far too Disney and not cohesive enough.
