If you are a hardcord stickler for the animated series, by all means, do everyone a favor and STAY HOME! If you are an educated human being who understands that a live action film will vary from the cartoon and can live with the dialogue and action being a bit more mature, you'll enjoy this film. It is visually stunning, and very entertaining. Like many first-in-a-series films, it concentrates more on backstory and history than on actual events, so it can seem a little slow. But if you understand that once you get all the info from this movie, it opens up the second film to be action-packed, you'll accept it for what it is worth and really enjoy it. Warning: Get over the fact that the names are pronounced differently. It really isn't a big deal. Just open your minds and enjoy.

For all those members of Team Jasper that have patiently waited through "Twilight" and "New Moon', begging for Jasper to be given a personality and be one with the Cullen clan, the wait is FINALLY over!!! Jackson Rathbone steals the show, followed very closely by his lovely counterpart, Ashley Greene, making them, by far, the most adorable couple to ever exist on-screen EVER!
Kudos also to Billy Burke whose performance as Charlie Swan, though always short, is beyond perfect every single time.
This movie has everything it has been lacking in the previous two: action, humor, fun and excitement. I dare anyone to see this movie and not enjoy at least half of it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
