The opening car chase one of the best and funniest I've ever seen. Cruise is in top form as the boy next door secret agent type. Cameron performs very well but please, why so many closeups of a face that is marginal at best? (Wouldn't the cute and humorous Rachel McAdams have been better here?)
The plot is a predictable mash of action man meets woman films; James Bond, Jason Bourne, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The Cruise/Diaz chemistry works and the director keeps the comedy (slapstick really) and the action nicely woven. But those who rated this 5 stars saw a different film than I did.
