Having not read the books, or even heard of them, I had no idea what to expect. I was glued to the screen for the entire movie!! The animation was by far the best I have ever seen, the storyline moved at a great pace, and the action was spectacular! Only slightly negative is that while it looks like a kids movie, it is NOT FOR LITTLE KIDS! The storyline is more adult, and there are a lot of dark, loud and scary moments that it is not recommended for the single digit crowds. Beyond that, couldn't have been happier with my choice!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The fourth installment of the Resident Evil series was better than most. A lot of action and plenty of 3D effects to keep your eyes busy. Unfortunately, they sacrificed a lot of story for the effects. The storyline drags and is in several areas completely predictable. Not a bad film, but not a great one either.
Wasn't sure what to expect, and walked out of the theater wanting to see it again. Great to see Nic Cage having fun, and Jay Baruchel was a perfect geek. The original short from Fantasia has always been a favorite, and I am so pleased with the story that they made it into. Great for the whole family, and not too dark for the young ones but plenty going on to keep their attention. And if you enjoy the movie, STAY THROUGH THE CREDITS!!
I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a sequel, let alone a 3-quel, so much. While never losing track of the characters, storylines and heart of the first two movies, TS3 brings the audience a new adventure that is exciting and believable. It brings back some characters from before in new ways, but never stoops to recycling old news. So heartwarming, I wanted to see it again the moment it was over. Saw it with an audience of all ages and there wasn't a dispointed face anywhere.
