I liked the movie and I'm not a shill for the production company . Was it the best, no, but it wasn't the worst either.,(go see The Sound of Thunder and you'll agree). The special effects were great. The concept was good but I agree the plot was really weak. I say go and see it, but go to a matinee and save a few dollars. Just because a movie isn't a blockbuster doesn't mean it is the worst movie made. I've seen many movies worse than this one.
Avatar is one of the best movies I have ever seen. The special effects are perfect, The characters were great, and the 3D was awsome. For 2 hours and 40 minutes, you are part of that world (just don't lift your glasses). I will see this movie several more times.
The idea for this movie was interesting.Would you push a button that would kill someone you don't know for 1 million dollars? But the movie left to many questions unanswered. I thought several of the audiance fiddling with their cell phones was more entertaining. The acting was ok but nothing to praise. I could care less if their son could see and hear or not at the end. (I didn't call spoiler alert because I don't think this movie could get any more spoiled). The commercials were good.
Great action, great special effects, a must see....oh, wait, that was the Star Trek trailer before this movie. This movie? eh! The original was much better.
As horror movies go, this was a good one. The suspense is what gets you more than the monster in the movie. It was a different kind of horror movie and the special effects were great. Another reason not to leave the USA.
Overall this was a fun movie. Was it the best comedy ever? no, but it was entertaining and I go to the movies to be entertained. I liked that you didn't have to be a big football fan (which I'm not) to enjoy it.
