I will start by saying my 4 and 6 year olds loved the movie. Not surprising as there's cute blue aliens and lots of action. My 12 and 13 year olds, however, are now old enough to spot anti-American indoctrination and that was their first comment when leaving the theatre. Earth as the "dark planet", reverse evolution (meaning things were better before humans destroyed everything), etc. SO TIRED of anti-American themes woven through everything. I would LOVE to be able to take my kids to a movie that had a positive theme running through them, rather than the constant barrage of Americans as the evil, earth-destroying, worthless beings. For all of you that think America is so bad, just MOVE. Enough already.
