The PERFECT mindless summer movie

I had high hopes for this one after seeing the trailers for it and laughing- the film does NOT disappoint. Sure, it asks you to suspend a little more disbelief than others, but the actors and plot don't really take themselves so seriously that it's hard to do so.
Cruise is funnier than he's been in years (or ever?), and really seems to have matured in his delivery and comic timing.
The action sequences are great and worth the price of admission, but it's Cruise's performance that really pulls this one together.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
