Took my daughter and nephew, both 14 years old, on opening night and we all loved it. It was a great story, very funny, even for adults, and also a little heart wrenching. I don't know that 3D added very much to this movie, but I'm still thankful for the glasses as there were a few times I had teary eyes. Really great movie, everyone who loved the first two should see it!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
