Half of a GREAT movie!

Yes, I know, of course I came into it with the understanding that this was Part 1 of 2. But that does not alter the fact that it still is only half of a movie. But it's half of a REALLY GREAT movie - so I would have to say it's VERY VERY GOOD. No doubt you've heard all the stuff... it's darker... the kids are all grown up... not in Hogwarts... all that stuff. So I will focus on the one thing that really blew me away with this film - and that is the performances of the 3 leads. They have all grown amazingly as actors - and have really grown into these parts (literally). I saw Radcliffe in a play on Broadway so I knew he has developed into a very good actor. But it was Watson who took my breath away more than anyone. (minor spoiler alert) The scene in the very beginning - where she quite literally wipes herself out of her parent's lives - was much more touching than I ever would have thought and it's mostly her subtle - and wordless - performance than gives the scene it's power. Bravisimo all around.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
