Given the talent present in the making of this movie, it could have been so much better. It was a good movie, but it really could have been a great one. The costumes were phenomenal. Mia Wasikowska as Alice was amazing. Johnny Depp was a pretty low key Mad Hatter. Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen was quite fun, but Anne Hathaway's White Queen was a bit over done. I could tell she was trying really hard to act.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

High School Musical 3 was all about the dancing. They took what worked so well in the previous two movies and blew it up for the big screen. The story line was okay. The acting was okay. The songs and singing were good, but the dancing was fabulous! I was reminded of Hollywood musicals of the past.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
