First of all, I loved the short film before the movie. Pixar is the only company still showing them. It was creative and fun.
Secondly, looking around the movie theater before the show, I was amazed at the audience - mostly young adults who were anxious to see their heroes and childhood memories from Toy Story and Toy Story 2. How many PG movies bring out groups of 20 year old men and women? And of course, there were families there too -truly children of all ages.
Lastly, the movie was entertaining from beginning to end. It made me laugh and cry....no...bawl. It touches the heart of everyone, but really hit home with me as my son just finished his freshman year of college. And coincidently, he just cleaned out his room.
I loved this movie and the entire trilogy. Toy Story 2 was a great sequel, second only to Godfather ii. Toy Story 3 stands alone as the best part 3, ever. End of story.
It's hard to find a movie that Mom, Dad and 19 year old son ALL enjoy. The A-Team actually accomplished this. The movie was true to the TV series - lots of plots, action, counter-plots, explosions and gun fire, with no one getting killed. And it was FUNNY! There were several times where everyone in the theater was laughing out loud and/or clapping. The characters were good and the actors were perfectly cast. The time flew by quickly and I was never bored or fidgety. From a nostalgic perspective, it was nice being back in 1983!
