After hearing nothing but glowing reviews, finally saw this movie. It was really interesting and really nice to see a black and white movie again. I thought it was a bit too long and very predictable. If it had been shorter I may have given it 5 stars, but I still think you should see it because it is worthwhile. See it on the big screen.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

After seeing two losers in a row, Warhorse and Tree of Life, it was wonderful to see such a magical movie. I saw the 3D version, but don't think it was necessary. The story was wonderful and acting great as well, especially the kids. I would highly recommend for both adults and children.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

What a disappointment! ?My husband, who loves history, bugged for weeks to see this movie and we were both surprised that it was so bad. The script and acting were terrible, the story was unbelievable and it was tooooo long! I disagree about the violence, anyone who knows anything about WWI, knows it was horrific and that millions of horses died, so I thought that the war scenes were the only redeeming factor in the movie. Can't believe I hated a Spielburg movie so much.
I am an opera lover and have been to many of the great opera houses in the world, but I must say this movie experience was wonderful. The only thing I will say I missed was the interaction with the performers and the lack of applause from the movie goers. It is too expensive to attend the Met and I think this is wonderful way to have opera seen by everyone. I will go more often next season.
