Beastly is a modern spin on Beauty & The Beast. Nice, easy going story line with tasteful graphics and cinematography. It's what I would describe as a 'feel good movie'.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Disappointing

The trailer really depicts the best there is in this movie. Granted, there's a descent plot - two alien races, one hiding out on planet Earth from the other race. Predictably, there's an obligatory romance weaved into the storyline, and a mix of young male hunks, nerds and a blond female. It's a movie trying to appeal to so many. Sadly, this movie falls short of the trailers and hype. Disappointing - barely a rental. However, the stage is set for a sequel - so, the storyline could be revived in the future.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

OMG, I thought it was funnier than earlier versions of The Karate Kid; way more action; great acting by Jackie Chan; pretty good acting by Jaden Smith. Some of the movie scenery was awesome - makes me want to travel to China and other parts of Asia and experience the culture.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
