Yes, it is about robots fighting and yes there are some scary characters, but for the most part this one is great for the family. It is a true father/son movie. It will make you laugh, but you will also get a little teary. Hugh Jackman is awesome and the boy that plays his son is a breakout star.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie has an evil villain who is being out "villained" so he wants to get back on top! Instead he gets more than he bargained for when he adopts some cute little girls as a cover for his vilainous adventures. Between the girls and the minions, his true colors start to show. It's a really cute movie for you and the kids with a good lesson for the kids.
I have waited years for this one. My kids used to dream about a Toy Story 3 when they are little. We all went together. This time, they took Toy Story to new heights! Andy is getting ready for college and the gang of toys gets side tracked from where they were supposed to go and are accidentally taken to a daycare center. Separation, misunderstandings, true friends and enemies revealed. There is so much action, I want to see it a few more times. In the end, there are laughs and tears and great things for the kids and great things for us adults. Keep an eye out for lots of toys from other Pixar movies. Don't miss this one. We saw it in 3-D and it was really good 3-D. Not the old fashioned kind where they are throwing things at the camera, just high quality technology.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Just enough change to make it interesting

I saw the original back in the day and was skeptical about a remake. But, it was my son's birthday, so he got to choose the movie. I was pleasantly surprised. Jaden Smith was wonderful and this was a new side of Jackie Chan. He did a great job too. Setting the movie in China was just enough change to make it interesting, but not so much that you did not recognize the story. I definitely recommend it, see the matinee though and save a few bucks.
