This is NOT a movie you want to wait to see on DVD

I couldn't believe the stunts Tom Cruise did himself. That alone was worth watching the movie!! Stunning scenes, wonderful camera work, breathtaking stunts, good story, great characters and non stop action.
This is the real deal.
Go see it! Better yet, see it on IMAX. I told my fiance' at least 3 times during the movie and after I was so GLAD we saw in IMAX and he agreed!
Pay the extra couple of dollars and see IMAX.
(Be safe Tom Cruise and you were fantastic!)

Much better than expected!

I was surprised to discover this installment in the Harry Potter series was so much better than reviewers had stated prior to my seeing the movie! As I had seeing bad movies or disappointing movies I was more than super pleased at this one as was my fiance'.
The characters were complex and interesting. This movie had the best and most interesting character development over any other "Harry Potter" movie to date. I applaud the 3 main characters for their efforts. Daniel had previously had one main emotion in other movies such as "Angst" or "Torment" as his especially in the last two movies in this series. His character in this movie was both rich in emotions and convincing. I felt we got to know both "Hermione Granger" and "Ron Weasley" to a hugely greater extent. (Hermione is indeed by far my favorite actor in the Harry Potter series and after this movie, I believe she will go far in her acting career!)
The special effects were very good and did not too much a presence or oversaturate you.
The plot and script were well done and as I have not read the books I did not expect as much as readers might but I am very concerned with both a good plot shown in good script writing and was not disappointed. It was very satisfying to watch and held my attention throughout though during the 3 characters sojourn away from the world I was wishing for a tiny bit more action but the characters interactions more than kept my interest.

My only complaints were two things. One the movie is very long so I recommend lowering your dosage of soft drinks at the concessions and the second being this abrupt ending the held me at the highest level of interest! I understand such a cliffhanger was unavoidable but wish deeply that I could watch "Part I and Part II" within a day and not the 6 months between releases!
I would NOT miss this movie if you wish to attend and would pay full price to see it again as would my fiance'!
I am sure if you love Harry Potter this will be one of your favorites!

Outcome of high hopes

I loved the original "Wall Street" and hoped that this movie might be in the same caliber. It was not. I am certain that if you have NOT seen the first movie you will love this one with one concern. The ending was brief, not believable and frankly stupid. I was so disappointed that the writers did not spend more time on the ending.

For the "revenge" aspect of the truly "evil" men in this movie the movie is definitely worth seeing. 2 evil men, 3 sets of revenge in this story were excellent and that alone is why I give this movie a 3 star rating. (They did not have a 3.5 star so I have this one chosen) I liked the interaction of the men in this story. There was a good vs evil component to this movie that is very satisfying and good. I would watch the movie again to study this more. The interaction between the young man and his fiance was a bit more than shallow and undeveloped in the story. Again the writers did not do their work and could have done much much better. (I am a writer) She was sweet but way too simple in this story.
I think anyone watching this would love the information on Wall Street and trading and wish to learn more if they were young. I personally felt a bit depressed rewatching the disasters of Wall Street since 9/11 and 2008's "Great Depression #2). That part was a bit like watching a horror movie of economics in history.
The small amount of special effects were very good but they were a bit dizzing and gave me a bit of vertigo.
I think in today's movies you would would like this movie but not love it.
