Being an avid fan of movies, I like it when the movie maker respects my intelligence. Nolan did just that. In those 2 hours and 38 minutes he creates for us an experience that pushes our imagination to the limits. A a truly inspired creation. The cast here shared the load so evenly that it is hard to call out and say who did more justice to their characters. Christopher Nolan - Respect!!
Disclaimer: this is a movie meant for people with above average intelligence.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Plays to the Indian psyche

The premise of the movie is really interesting. Us Indians like a good complicated story with sibling rivalry and warring cousins. A wise elders' arm twisting ways and women with a history just make things juicier.
Prakash Jha got all of it right.
But he seemed like he was in a hurry to finish off the movie. It started so well in a narrative format, but ended in a literal bloody mess.
And it was such a shame. As with such winning performances by Nana and Ranbir he should have put in more effort towards it.
Gangajal will still be deemed as his best.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
